Full Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting children and families to overcome barriers to learning? Do you have the skills to build strong, trusting relationships and make a real difference in a school community? If so, we would love to hear from you. At Bottesford Infant School we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Leader to join our team. This is a vital role within our school, supporting pupils and families to ensure our children thrive. We are looking for someone who can:

  • provide one to one support for children with social, emotional or behavioural barriers to learning.
  • communicate well with parents/carers, offering advice and support.
  • signpost families to services and external agencies (including completing referrals)
  • provide small group support to deliver targeted interventions.
  • lead the Early Help Assessment (EHA) process.
  • support with attendance and punctuality.
  • liaise with the SENCo and external support agencies.
  • undertake home visits as required and attend meetings in family homes.
  • act as Deputy DSL contributing to the development and monitoring of safeguarding policies, practices and procedures.
  • attend meetings for children who have safeguarding plans (Child in Need / Child Protection Plans)
  • possess the ability to work flexibly and on their own initiative.
