Located in the ancient town of Oswestry in the county of Shropshire, the school was founded in 1407 and, as such, lays claim to being one of the oldest truly independent schools in the country. It is located in a beautiful corner of Shropshire with easy access to the great outdoors as well as good links to the local town of Shrewsbury and the cities of Chester, Manchester and Birmingham.
Part-time School Caretaker
Oswestry School is seeking a part-time School Caretaker to assist with evening facilities hire, event set up, lock-up, on-call security, health and safety/compliance testing and dealing with on-call maintenance issues. Due to the nature of the job applicants must live within the local area and no more than 10 minutes drive away from the school. Salary meets National Living Wage standard.
The working hours are 25 hours per week, working from 5pm to 10pm Monday to Friday with some weekend working on an ad hoc basis as well as on call duties. This role is for a full year (52 weeks).
