Part-Time Design & Technology Teacher Chesterfield (ASAP or September 2026 Start)
The Supply Register is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Chesterfield to recruit a Part-Time Design & Technology Teacher, with an ASAP start or a September 2026 start available.
This role is ideal for a creative and passionate DT specialist who enjoys inspiring students through practical, hands-on learning, innovation, and design.
Timetable: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (mornings)
The role includes:
. Delivering engaging DT lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4
. Planning and adapting lessons to support all learners
. Developing students practical, design, and problem-solving skills
. Assessing, tracking, and providing meaningful feedback
. Maintaining a safe and well-organised workshop environment
. Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities
We re looking for candidates who:
. Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
. Have experience teaching Design & Technology in secondary schools
. Demonstrate strong subject knowledge (e.g. product design, engineering, resistant materials or similar)
. Are passionate about practical, hands-on learning
. Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
. Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
