Part Time Administrator - Farm

Delivering even greener veg - We're in the process of swapping diesel vans to electric, with the ambitious goal of being 100% electric vans for low-emission deliveries to our customers!, The hours…This is a 8-month fixed-term contract, working 16 hours a week, based on-site on the farm. We're happy to flex these hours to suit your needs - whether that's working around school hours or spreading them over two or three days. Mondays are the only essential day we'll need you to commit to, and we're here to help create a balance that works for both you and the role.

What you'll be doing…

At the heart of the Farm's smooth operation lies the Farm Support role-a dynamic and pivotal position that ensures everything runs seamlessly behind the scenes. Across the seasons, the team transforms from a close-knit group of twenty co-owners in the Winter to a bustling workforce of forty in the Summer, blending permanent team members and fixed-term seasonal members.

As Farm Support, you play a key role in welcoming new team members, guiding them through their induction, and handling essential paperwork. Each week, you ensure timesheets are accurate and up to date. You take charge of organising, ordering, and distributing PPE to keep everyone safe and equipped, and you keep a watchful eye on the on-site accommodation, conducting monthly checks to maintain standards.

Your role also extends to keeping operations in check-collating monthly vehicle and tractor inspection sheets, replenishing and auditing first aid kits, and managing training records to ensure everyone is prepared and compliant. When training is needed, you're the one to coordinate and arrange it. Working closely with the Farm Managers, you're the linchpin that helps the farm thrive all year round.

Someone with hands-on with administrative experience, confidence using Excel and Word, and a full UK driving licence as you'll occasionally lend a hand with local tasks, such as popping out for supplies or supporting our seasonal farm team. You'll be a team player who's enthusiastic, adaptable, and self-motivated, with a can-do attitude and an eye for improving how we work.
