Paramedic

We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our Primary Care team at HMP Featherstone a category C Prison located in Wolverhampton. HMP Featherstone is a male prison with a population of 678 males, this is a training prison with a layout of 7 wings. As a Paramedic, you will be based within the healthcare department however you will also be required to work on the prison wings. Hours

• Monday - Sunday service - 37.5 hours per week
• Weekdays - 7am - 6.30pm
• Weekends - 8.30am - 5.30pm
• Every other weekend
• 8 week rolling rota, As a Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will
• Provide outstanding evidence based case to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them - focussing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
• Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
• Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.

• Qualified Paramedic
• Current professional registration (HCPC)
• Proven post-registration ambulance experience
• Evidence of continued professional development
• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
• Proven experience in either: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries / illness

  This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary is between £34,428 - £41,659 per annum - depending on experience.
