Full Job Description
This is an entry level role and full training will be provided enabling you to carry out the key responsibilities as follows: Key Responsibilities
- Handle low value infant approval, OIC and MOJ stage 3 files.
- Deal with all procedural matters from issue through to trial
- Assess claims for special damages.
- Draft all pleadings
- Demonstrate the ability to value personal injury using JC Guidelines and case law
- Negotiate settlement where appropriate using persuasive arguments.
- Have strong telephone negotiation skills.
- Prepare witness statements for use in court proceedings, taken via telephone call or video call.
- Liaise with other professionals such as claimant's solicitors, counsel, courts, brokers, policyholders and the insurer clients.
- Have strong organisation skills and be able to use a case management system
- Ensure all Management Information is completed timely and accurately.
- Adhere to client SLA requirements in terms of reporting and updates.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
An undergraduate law degree or equivalent (minimum 2:1 required). - A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently by managing time in a fast pace environment.
- A Professional manner with the ability to build relationship internally and externally.
