Pan Regional Adoption Youth Support

Family Adoption Links is looking for two Youth Workers to help us implement an exciting new pan-regional youth offer across North Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire and Rutland, Leicester and Leicestershire, and Northamptonshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something new. You will work directly with adopted young people, creating opportunities for connection, participation, emotional wellbeing, identity and resilience - while making sure that young people's voices are at the heart of what we do.

You will work closely with a second Youth Worker, colleagues across Family Adoption Links and youth work colleagues within Adoption East Midlands, sharing ideas and developing a coordinated approach across the wider region.

Most importantly, this role gives you the opportunity to help shape the youth offer alongside the young people themselves. We want to create activities and opportunities that young people genuinely want to be part of.

Due to recent changes in immigration law in the UK we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements.

Are you a creative and enthusiastic youth worker who wants to make a real difference to the lives of adopted young people?, You will have experience of working with young people and of delivering engaging youth work or group-based activities.

You will be someone who can build positive and trusting relationships with young people, create safe and inclusive spaces, and bring energy and creativity to youth work. Experience of working with adopted or care-experienced young people would be valuable, as would an understanding of trauma-informed practice or attachment.

A full driving licence and the ability to travel across the FAL region, or an alternative means of meeting the travel requirements, is essential., In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
