Pan-European Training Developer

At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 - 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement. Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home 2 days per week, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office. Role: The Pan-European Training Developer is responsible for designing engaging, accurate and effective non-technical training materials for European markets, distributors and retailer and dealer networks. The role develops learning content that supports business requirements, planned product and programme launches, regulatory requirements and agreed organisational learning objectives. Working with subject matter experts and key stakeholders, the role holder will gather and validate information and translate it into clear, accessible training materials across a range of formats. The role holder will be required to travel across the European region on an occasional basis to support training and test-drive activities and attend face-to-face meetings where required. Main Responsibilities: Storyboard Development

• Design and produce storyboards and learning content for classroom guides, e-learning modules, videos, assessments and other non-technical training materials in line with agreed business requirements.
• Apply appropriate instructional design principles and learning methodologies to create clear, engaging and effective learning experiences for the intended audience.
• Research and obtain relevant competitor information where publicly available for training materials as required.
• Support Train the Trainer and test-drive events, including the preparation and delivery of relevant learning materials and activities.
Collaboration
• Work closely with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to gather required information and validate accuracy.
• Support the implementation of new training initiatives, learning technologies and digital tools.
Quality Assurance
• Ensure training content is accurate, compliant with applicable regulatory and business requirements, and delivered in line with agreed quality standards.
• Plan and complete storyboard and content-development activity within agreed timescales to support training availability for planned launches.
Continuous Learning
• Maintain awareness of developments in learning technology, instructional design and industry practice, recommending appropriate improvements to training methods and materials.
  
  Demonstrable experience of developing non-technical training or learning content for different audiences and delivery formats.
• Knowledge of instructional design principles and learning methodologies, with the ability to apply them when developing training materials.
• Knowledge of relevant automobile products, systems and terminology, with the ability to translate source information into clear non-technical learning content.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret information accurately and adapt content for the intended audience.
• Experience of using e-learning authoring tools, such as Articulate or Adobe Captivate.
• Experience of working with a learning management system and digital learning technologies.
• Basic graphic design and multimedia skills, with the ability to create clear and engaging learning assets.
• Ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather, challenge and validate information.
• Ability to organise priorities and deliver accurate, high-quality content within agreed timescales.
Desirable
• Experience within the automotive industry and an understanding of the associated business environment.
• A relevant degree, vocational qualification or equivalent professional development in instructional design, education or a related discipline.
