Location: HMP Eastwood Park, Falfield. GL12 8DB


Salary: £31,729.91 per annum


Contract: Permanent - 39hrs per week - Mon-Fri


Job Description


We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP Eastwood Park, a Closed, Category C female prison. Join a team that is more than just a group of colleagues - we work Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven family, working together to create a safe and nurturing environment.


HMP Eastwood Park runs like a self-contained city, it takes hundreds of people to keep it functioning, and as the Facilities Maintenance Team we are committed and driving the smooth and safe operation, like a heart that pumps blood through the body. Everything we do impacts every prisoner, employee, and visitor, and wider to the families and community.


As a Painter & Decorator, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference by providing a safe and secure environment for all.

Qualifications and Skills



  • A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and Decorating or equivalent (or significant experience/time served in a similar role)

  • Experience working in a maintenance team

  • An honest and reliable character, who can approach their work with a sense of purpose and pace

  • Good Health & Safety knowledge

  • Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
