Full Job Description
You will carry out work of routine and non-routine nature as directed by management.
Ensure compliance with Trust Safety Standard and Procedures.
Taking all safety measures to prevent danger, avoid injury and prevent damage to equipment.
Each Gardener will have individual responsibilities for defined aspects of the service and will ensure that their contribution is beneficial to other departments within the Trust, as well as the Estates and Facilities Department to fulfill the Trust's overall objectives.
Main duties of the job
Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings and specifications appropriate to his trade without supervision.
Painting and decorating all hospital property, internally and externally, to acceptable craft standards and using approved methods of working.
Prepare working area in an efficient and organised manner. Removal of all furniture, fittings and fixtures and re-fixing on completion.
Wallpapering (including contract wide width), varnishing, wall washing, application of spray applied finishes
Carry out minor wall repairs such as patch plastering
