Full Job Description
- Diagnosing and assessing children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).
- Delivering therapy for a range of children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).
- Designing, monitoring and evaluating targets and plans for children.
- Delivering parent education through workshops.
- Providing specialist advice and support to parents, teachers and other professionals.
You will be required to travel between the clinic, nurseries and schools and must be able to do so in a timely manner. This position is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The Speech and Language Team staff form part of an MDT and frequently work in joint clinics with OT, PT and dietetics offering an holistic programme of support to families to ensure all the child's needs are met in a timely and efficient way. We're looking for someone:
- To work with children and young people (aged 0-19) in both our early years clinic and within mainstream schools in the Sittingbourne and Isle of Sheppey area.
- Keen to explore other specialisms including complex needs.
- This is a fixed term, term full time post but we are happy to consider flexible working proposals. So what else?
