Full Job Description

The successful candidate will be required to work in collaboration with our existing Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurses, Paediatric Diabetes Consultants, children's services staff, AHPs, children, young people and their families.The role will predominantly deliver care and support to children and young people with T1 and T2 Diabetes at our hospital site and within their own homes/ communities., We work closely with other specialists in and out of the hospital setting such as paediatricians, community nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, other Clinical Nurse Specialists and GPs to ensure we are always providing the best possible care.

We are looking for a highly motivated children's nurse who has experience with children and young people, training and educating parents/ carers and has a good understanding and experience of working with children with long term conditions.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent skills in communication, organisation and time management and will be expected to participate in and deliver regular clinical supervision, Appraisal and NMC Revalidation

Our Paediatric Diabetes service provides friendly, timely and high-quality care to children and young people who with diabetes. An empathetic and problem solving approach is essential when assessing and planning care. An ability to multi-task, effectively manage your own time and to co-ordinate the delivery of different care processes is essential.
