Full Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join the paediatric pharmacy service? You will share the role of specialist dermatology pharmacist working with our tertiary service within Southampton University Hospital. The service is provided by the same clinical team across both adults and paeds, you will only provide support for the paediatric element., The successful applicant will provide a specialist clinical pharmacy service to paediatric dermatology patients in collaboration with another full-time dermatology pharmacist who works across both adult and paediatric service, providing expert pharmaceutical advice. This post also includes:
- Attending multidisciplinary ward rounds.
- Developing evidence-based treatment guidelines and shared care guidelines in conjunction with specialist consultants/pharmacists.
- Supporting prescribing/screening and introduction of high-cost medicines for dermatology.
- Teaching pharmacists/students and members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Active membership of the paediatric pharmacy team.
