Job overview We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Paediatric Audiologist to join our Audiology Service in a developmental role, appointed at Band 5 with progression to Band 6 upon successful completion of an agreed competency framework. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Audiologist looking to build specialist paediatric experience whilst developing advanced clinical skills within a supportive and well-established service. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary Audiology team delivering high-quality diagnostic and habilitative services for children and young people aged 019 years. The role will provide structured development opportunities, specialist training and clinical supervision to support progression towards independent Band 6 practice. Alongside clinical work, the post holder will support service development, quality improvement initiatives and the service journey towards Improving Quality in
Physiological Services (IQUIPS) accreditation. This post is ideal for someone looking to grow their clinical expertise, develop specialist paediatric Audiology skills and progress their career within a supportive NHS environment., The post holder will: Deliver Audiology assessments and hearing services for children and young people aged 019 years appropriate to level of competency Participate in a structured development programme designed to support progression from Band 5 to Band 6 Develop specialist paediatric Audiology knowledge and advanced diagnostic competencies Work towards managing an independent clinical caseload following competency sign-off Support the service with IQUIPS accreditation preparation and quality improvement activity Undertake training in specialist diagnostic procedures including paediatric hearing assessments and hearing aid management Participate in audit, service development and continuous improvement work across the service Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families and partner organisations to deliver safe and effective patient care Maintain accurate clinical records and support effective service delivery across the department Engage in regular supervision, competency
assessments and ongoing professional development
