Paediatric Audiology Assistant

The Paediatric Audiology department at HCT is looking for an audiology assistant to join the team. The main job role will be being the second tester in hearing assessment appointments, helping the audiologist to test children's hearing., The successful candidate will:

• Be the second tester in children's hearing assessment clinics aged 8 months -18 years
• Manage stock in the department, across sites
• Communicate effectively with service users and other members of the team
• Engage in peer reviews
• Engage in audits and clinical governance tasks to ensure the department is continuously improving
• Assist the Audiology Service Lead in the day to day management of the service
• Use Excel, Word, Teams and other programs as needed to support the job role
We have three clinics: Watford, St. Albans and Hemel Hempstead. The post holder will be expected to cover clinics at all three sites as needed, therefore afull valid driving licenseandaccess to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
