We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate Senior Audiologist to join our Paediatric Audiology service. This role is primarily paediatric focused, providing diagnostic assessments, hearing aid interventions and family centred management for children aged 0 months to 18 years. You will work as part of a skilled and supportive team, contributing to service development and providing supervision for junior colleagues where appropriate. This post offers excellent opportunities to grow your clinical expertise and to work collaboratively within a diverse Audiology department. Main duties of the job
- Paediatric Diagnostic Hearing Assessments (6 months -- 18 years), including: -Visual Reinforcement Audiometry
- Paediatric Diagnostic Hearing Assessments (6 months -- 18 years), including: -Visual Reinforcement Audiometry -Play Audiometry -Pure Tone Audiometry -Objective testing: otoacoustic emissions, tympanometry, acoustic reflexes -Speech testing
- Paediatric Hearing Aid clinics (6 months -- 18 years) -Hearing aid fittings, reviews and repairs -Verification via real ear measurements and real ear to coupler difference -Ear impressions for all ages -Aided testing and use of questionnaires for hearing aid validation
- Work in accordance with national recommended procedures and local clinical protocols.
- Deliver personcentred, familyfocused care and support shared decisionmaking
- Provide supervision and support to junior staff as required
- Contribute to MDT working, service improvement and clinical governance

-BSc (Hons) Audiology or equivalent qualification - -Registration with HCPC or AHCS
- -Evidence of CPD and reflective practice Desirable
- -HTS qualification
- -MSc in Audiology or equivalent postgraduate qualification
- -Leadership/management qualification
- -Membership of BAA and/or BSA Experience Essential
- -Minimum 2 years' postgraduate NHS Audiology experience including paediatrics
- -Ability to independently perform a comprehensive range of paediatric assessments (6 months+)
- -Experience in fitting and verifying hearing aids for paediatric population
- -Experience supervising junior staff Desirable
- -Project management involvement
- -Contribution to audit or research
- -Experience of MDT working
- -Experience with line management responsibilities
- -Experience in healthcare governance
- -Training/experience in complex assessments such as ABR, -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families and colleagues
- -Ability to work effectively within a team
- -Adaptability and willingness to embrace change
- -Good organisational and time management skills
- -Strong problemsolving abilities
- -Strong self motivation and ability to manage conflicting clinical demands
- -Evidence of ongoing CPD and reflective practice
- -Relevant knowledge and skills appropriate to the role
