About the role

We're looking for a Packaging Development Technologist to join our fast-growing team and help shape the packaging behind one of the world's most exciting infant nutrition brands. This is more than a packaging coordination role - you'll have the opportunity to turn ideas into reality, supporting new packaging concepts, artwork, formats and innovations from development through to launch.

Working closely with our Packaging Development team and wider R&D team, you'll collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers and co-packers to develop packaging that is innovative, practical, compliant and increasingly sustainable. From exploring new materials and technologies to supporting factory trials and global product launches, you'll play a hands-on role in developing the packaging behind our award-winning infant milks and cereals, enjoyed by families around the world. If you're curious about packaging, passionate about innovation and want to see your work make a real-world impact, this could be the perfect opportunity to grow with Kendamil.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the R&D team across all aspects of packaging development and implementation.

  • Coordinating and supporting factory trials, ensuring packaging is successfully tested and ready for production.

  • Creating and maintaining packaging specifications and documentation for manufacturing sites.

  • Supporting the artwork development and approval process, ensuring information is accurate and delivered on time.

  • Working with co-packing partners to coordinate artwork, documentation and packaging procedures.

  • Supporting the business in understanding and responding to packaging sustainability requirements and environmental developments.

  • Researching new packaging technologies, materials and design solutions that could support Kendamil's future growth.

  • Building strong relationships with packaging suppliers, equipment manufacturers and other external partners.

  • Supporting packaging projects from development through to launch, working collaboratively with multiple teams.

  • Attending relevant packaging, sustainability and industry events and trade shows, helping us stay ahead of emerging trends and challenges.

  • Contributing ideas and solutions that improve packaging performance, sustainability and efficiency.

Qualification and experience

  • Previous experience in packaging coordination, packaging development or a similar role.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with confidence working with data and spreadsheets.

  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams.

  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong planning and time-management skills.

  • A proactive and accountable approach, with the confidence to take ownership and drive tasks through to completion.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a practical and solutions-focused mindset.

  • Able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.

  • Curious, organised and enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in packaging, product development, innovation and sustainability.

What We Offer

  • Work on globally distributed products sold across 50+ countries.

  • Develop packaging for an award-winning infant nutrition portfolio.

  • Be involved in innovation, from new materials and technologies to new packaging formats.

  • Contribute to our sustainability agenda and the future of responsible packaging.

  • Work with suppliers, manufacturers and international partners.

  • Grow your career in a fast-paced, ambitious and expanding business.
