PA Support Required for an Outgoing Young Lady to Access the Community - 3 Hours Per Week - Matlock- SN-DCC-001., We are looking for a proactive, kind, and caring PA to support a young lady in accessing the community and getting out and about.

This role is centred around companionship, encouragement, and helping her build confidence to engage in a range of activities outside the home.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The role involves providing warm, consistent companionship, acting as a supportive "older sibling" figure who is there to chat, listen, and spend meaningful time together. Building a trusting and positive relationship is key, ensuring she feels comfortable, understood, and supported in her day-to-day life while also helping her plan enjoyable activities and things to look forward to.

A core part of the role is supporting her to stay active and engaged through a variety of activities. This includes accompanying her swimming, going to the gym, taking part in light exercise, and spending time outdoors, particularly with her dogs.

The role will also include encouraging and supporting her involvement in the community. This may involve outings such as going for coffee together, going on shopping trips or even taking her to get her nails done!

The role wont include providing personal care but providing prompts and encouragement around personal care. For example asking if she has showered.

Specific Requirements:

Being a driver isn't a requirement but may be helpful.

Previous experience working with young adults who have disabilities isn't required - there is more of a focus on you as an individual. We are looking for a kind, caring, patient individual who will be able to provide support.

The individual requiring support has a wide range of hobbies and interests and loves keeping busy! She currently attends a youth club, Volunteers in a local charity shop, attends yoga classes twice a week and enjoys going horse riding.

The individual requiring support is a very bright and intelligent young lady. She currently attends college where she is studying her level 3 in social care.

There are two dogs within the home.

Hours Per Week:

3 hours per week on a Friday during college term time (39 weeks per year) and 15 hours per week during college holiday closures (13 weeks per year).

£13 per hour for an employed PA, £15.60 for a self-employed PA.
