Job Role
Personal Assistant (PA) Required - Supporting a 24-Year-Old Male With Maintaining Independence and Day to Day Activities - Chesterfield, S40 - HJ-DCC-001, A reliable and compassionate Personal Assistant is required to support a 24-year-old man with OCD. The role involves providing practical support with day-to-day administrative tasks and shopping, helping to maintain independence and reduce stress around everyday activities.
Roles and Responsibilities
The successful applicant should be patient, trustworthy, organised, and respectful of confidentiality.
Experience supporting someone with OCD, autism, anxiety, or mental health needs would be beneficial but is not essential.
As trust and familiarity are important, it may take some time to build a rapport initially. Therefore, the ideal applicant will be understanding, consistent, and willing to work at a pace that allows a positive working relationship to develop naturally.
This role would suit someone looking for flexible part-time work supporting an individual to maintain their independence and wellbeing.
The roles and responsibilities will include:
- Provide administrative support, including completing paperwork, filling out forms, managing emails, and organising appointments
- Assist with both online and in-person shopping, ensuring items meet individual needs and preferences
- Support the planning and organisation of weekly tasks and schedules to promote structure and efficiency
- Offer consistent, calm, patient, and understanding support, adapting approach to suit individual circumstances
- Maintain clear communication and a supportive environment to build trust and ensure comfort
- Help individuals stay organised and on track with day-to-day responsibilities
Required Training
Experience supporting someone with OCD, autism, anxiety, or mental health needs would be beneficial but is not essential.
Hours Per Week
3 hours per week, the day of support is flexible and can be agreed with the successful applicant. However, afternoon availability is preferred.
£13 for an employed PA, £15.60 for a self-employed PA.
