The focus of the post will be Orthodontic clinical supervision, clinical training and teaching of trainee orthodontists. As well as educating trainees with their knowledge and expertise in the field of orthodontics, they will be responsible for treatment being carried out safely, to a level appropriate of a specialist hospital and complying with clinical protocols. A key component of the post will be communication with referring practitioners and close working with the consultant team to help drive the service to achieve the objectives of the department.

Applications are invited for a part-time (2 PA) Consultant in Orthodontics. The post is based at the Royal National ENT & Eastman Dental Hospitals, part of the Specialist Hospitals Board of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Successful applicant will join an established team in providing a wide range of orthodontic services, postgraduate training and research. Applicants will be expected to have excellent communication skills and experience in postgraduate teaching and training. All candidates must be on the Specialist Register for Orthodontics and hold the CCST. Applicants must also have obtained the ISFE in Orthodontics or be within six months of attainment at the time of interview. CV required for application.
