Outreach and Engagement Officer Mental Health

Do you want to make a difference for people experiencing health inequalities? And help make sure that everyone can benefit from local mental health support? Our position as Outreach and Engagement Officer may be the ideal role for you. As part of our small, friendly Community Mental Health Commissioning Team, you will build and maintain strong partnerships with community organisations, providers and statutory partners to improve access to mental health support and address health inequalities. You will engage with local groups and people with lived experience, to help ensure mental health services are equitable, inclusive and accessible for everyone. You will work with partners to develop consistent approaches to equality data collection and reporting. You'll help seldom heard or underserved communities, using insights from your sources to inform service improvements and promote earlier access to appropriate mental health support. You will predominantly work from home, with occasional travel.

• Ability to communicate and engage effectively with a range of people and communities.
• Ability to analyse, interpret and present data.
• Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion legislation.
• Knowledge of health and social care systems relating to mental health.
• Experience working with community groups, particularly those affected by inequality or disadvantage.
• Experience of planning and delivering presentations, workshops or training.
