Due to a high-volume increase in patient numbers, we are inviting a self-motivated, organised individual who have excellent customer service skills and are passionate about patient care, to apply for this position. The role is demanding so you must be confident, assertive and have the ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure. You will have good listening and communication skills and be able to deal with people both internally and externally in a sensitive and professional manner. The ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to Trust policies is paramount.,
- 5 GCSEs, must include Maths, English and IT, Evidence of further study (e.g., in house courses/external courses, such as Admin, I.T or Customer Service).
- Educated to A levels, college diploma, or higher education qualification.
- Willing to undertake any further study and learning to enhance ability to carry out job role more efficiently, Relevant Healthcare experience in an administrative support role patient or customer focused., Working in a reception/phone call handling environment.
- Relevant NHS experience - in an administrative support role.
- Experience of a hospital admin or outpatient setting., Has worked in a team of people from a wide variety of backgrounds and understands the principles of equality and diversity
- Has potential leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills and can motivate others
- Can work alone and part as a team
- Able to cope with strict deadlines/fast paced enviroment, Familiar with Basic Microsoft software: Outlook, word, and PowerPoint.
- General strong I.T skills
- Well developed customer/patient Service Skills
- Knowledge of NHS agenda for Outpatients (e.g., Choose & Book, National Care Records Service, 18-week target)
- Good understanding of Referral to treatment pathways and time scales.
