Introduction Join our supportive team in a exciting new role, where you will be able to make a difference and enhance people's independence and wellbeing using your Occupational Therapy skills. If you have experience and knowledge working in occupational therapy in adult social care, are a skilled communicator and confident in your decision making, then we want to hear from you. What's the role? As part of the duty OT team, you will help Lewisham citizens have timely access to information, OT advice and assessment to promote independence and wellbeing. You will be screening OT referrals, completing OT focused telephone assessments, providing advice and information, ordering minor equipment and adaptations where appropriate. This important role will help the OT team ensure referrals to the team are Care Act eligible and is a vital part of our prevention focus in adult social care OT. This role is part time, 17.5 hours per week. Hybrid based role.

An OT who uses a strength-based approach in screening and telephone assessments, you will be able to promote citizens independence and well being. You will be experienced in conducting telephone assessments and screening of OT referrals in adult social care. You will have knowledge and experience of equipment provision, minor and major adaptations. You will be able to signpost to other services where appropriate and provide citizens with OT focused information and advice where required. Location Hybrid based role. The job is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, London, SE6 4RU, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis. Special conditions

  • HCPC Registration and Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy is needed
  • The job is subject to an enhanced DBS check
