Full Job Description

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Organisational Development (OD) Consultant to lead and shape our OD consultancy approach and support delivery of our Trust People Strategy.
This is a senior, influential role within the People Directorate, working closely with Executive leaders, Care Groups and Corporate Divisions to drive cultural improvement, organisational effectiveness and compassionate leadership. You will play a key role in designing and delivering OD and organisational design interventions that support transformation, improve workforce experience and enable high-quality patient care.
The postholder will act as a trusted OD expert and strategic partner, leading a small team of OD Consultants and deputising for the Assistant Director of OD, Culture & Inclusion as required. This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished OD professional to have real impact across a large, complex NHS organisation., + Lead the Trust's OD consultancy approach, providing expert advice, coaching and guidance to senior leaders on complex people, culture and organisational challenges.
+ Build strong, credible relationships with Executive Directors, senior leadership teams and key stakeholders to support service delivery, transformation and cultural improvement.
+ Design, deliver and evaluate organisation-wide OD and organisational design interventions, ensuring they are evidence-based, outcome-focused and aligned to Trust and national priorities.
+ Use workforce intelligence, people metrics, staff survey data and qualitative insight to diagnose challenges, identify opportunities and inform OD recommendations.
+ Oversee key OD portfolio areas including leadership development, employee experience, wellbeing, talent and mandatory learning.
+ Support senior leaders to improve team culture, leadership capability, wellbeing and effectiveness, contributing to a positive staff experience and safe, high-quality care.
