Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Fusion Record-to-Report (R2R) Consultant to deliver end-to-end implementation services across the R2R cycle. The successful candidate will design, configure and deploy the Oracle Fusion General Ledger (GL) solutions, including Intercompany, Enterprise Structure (ES) and Chart of Accounts (COA), for our clients. This is a critical role, focusing on delivering a high-quality R2R solution for a large-scale government transformation project. This is an initial 6-month contract with the opportunity for extension, offering a chance to make a significant impact on a high-profile programme. Your role and responsibilities: As an Oracle Cloud R2R Consultant, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of Oracle R2R solutions in public sector client environments. Your key responsibilities will include leading General Ledger process area, design GL solution and ensuring alignment with business needs and financial regulations. The role requires deep functional expertise in the Oracle Fusion General Ledger module and involves extensive collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and technical teams to design and implement effective solutions.,

  • Lead R2R process area managing and working closely with offshore resources in R2R area.
  • Solution Design: Analyse business requirements, design functional solutions, identify technical components, develop functional specifications that align with the Oracle Fusion Financials.
  • R2R Processes: Configure and support core R2R processes, including month end process and end to end consolidation with EPM Finance Consolidation.
  • Configuration & Deployment: Lead the setup and deployment of Oracle Fusion General Ledger, Intercompany, Enterprise Structures and Chart of Accounts.
  • Collaboration: Close collaboration with other Finance and Procurement Process Areas like Projects, Procurement, Payables, Expenses, Assets, Lease Accounting, Receivables and Cash Management, EPM Financial Consolidation and Planning, HCM Process Areas, Tax, Risk and Controls, Technical etc. for end-to-end integrated solution.
  • Implementation: Manage the full lifecycle of an implementation project, from build and testing to defect resolution and post-go-live support for R2R Process Area.
  • Data Migration: Review and support client and data migration team with data for migration into the Oracle Fusion GL module.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Ensure the R2R solution complies with internal regulations and support the generation of required reports. Support client and reporting team with reporting requirements and functional design documentation.
  • Integration: Review and support integration team with R2R integrations and functional design documentation.
  • Testing & Support: Develop and support test scripts for unit, system, integrated, and user acceptance testing.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Provide functional, technical and accounting advice to business users and stakeholders, facilitating workshops, meetings and discussions related to R2R processes.

    Possess strong accounting knowledge, enabling the individual to provide comprehensive accounting support to all finance process areas, including addressing accounting queries and implementing accounting best practices. They should also be capable of advising clients on leading and desired accounting practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address issues and proactively find solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with business stakeholders, functional and technical teams and project leadership.
  • Strong management skills; good with status reporting and familiarity tools like Jira/Confluence for project management.
  • Ability to travel to client sites across the UK as required, in addition to the regular Birmingham office presence.
  • MUST BE A UK NATIONAL with a minimum of 5 years residency.
