Optometrist

We are looking for a Mobile Optometrist to join our Hub mainly covering Wigan and Hunts Cross. Based in Wigan, the store is on a retail park meaning easy travel options and free parking on site. In store, the team consists of an experienced Store manager, an Optometrist who has built real loyalty with patients, a DO, and a team on experienced OCs. There are 2 testing rooms with 25 min testing and Hearing care on site allowing for full community care in one place. The team is bright, positive and knowledgeable and work hard to support each other and patients. The store was refitted around 12 months ago and there is an OCT. Additional services include MECS, DRY EYE, PRE/POST CAT, GLYCOMA. Will include some weekend working and travel within the Hub., As an Optometrist at Boots, you'll play a key role in delivering brilliant patient care - using the latest tech, working alongside experienced colleagues, and supporting your community with clinical excellence. Whether you're leading a clinic, responding to triage, or mentoring others, no two days are the same, and your growth never stops.,

• Leading clinics and delivering outstanding patient care
• Using the latest testing technology to assess eye health and provide expert advice
• Providing enhanced services, from triage support to advanced assessments, depending on store needs
• Offering clinical support to colleagues on the shop floor
• Collaborating with external healthcare professionals
• Keeping your clinical knowledge up to date and sharing it with others
• Playing a key role in your store's leadership team, bringing energy and insight to every shift
  
  We're looking for Optometrists who are confident, compassionate, and always focused on doing the right thing for patients.
• GOC registered (or expecting to be within 6 months)
• NHS performer number (or working towards it)
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• A genuine interest in patient care and team collaboration
It would be great if you also have
• Experience supporting enhanced services
• A strong understanding of local clinical networks
