Full Job Description
An opportunity is available for a Team Leader working in the West Wales area based at the Llanfihangel ar Arth depot. The successful candidate will report into the Field Operations Team Manager and will be responsible for leading a group of Trades Persons and running the fault desk on a rota basis. The key focus of this role is to lead an efficient and productive team across a region. Key considerations for the successful running of your team include: ensuring they are working compliantly within H&S policies, coordinating programmes of work for them to undertake, organising response to network faults, maximising efficiencies in delivery, ensuring your team has the appropriate development and authorisations and effectively managing performance on a 1:1 basis. This is a crucial role to help drive forward performance and give our large teams the support they need in the field. This will be an office based role working 7.30am until 3.30pm.,
- Ensuring your teams adherence to Health and Safety regulations
- Monitor and manage the cost-effectiveness of network faults
- Efficient scheduling of work activities
- Collaboration with other teams to manage workload
- Driving team productivity and individual performance management
- Maintaining a full schedule of work for the team
- Ensure our people have the appropriate training and work authorisations to support a safe and productive working environment
- Respond quickly and professionally to customer complaints
We are looking for an excellent communicator, who has the ability to build strong relationships with our craft staff and customers. A problem solver who is organised and can plan ahead using their own initiative. You must have a proven track record of managing teams including managing and driving performance, as well as experience of being the point of escalation for both internal and external stakeholders. You will have excellent IT skills and some Commercial and Financial awareness would be an advantage. You'll need a good understanding or the ability to quickly develop knowledge of: - Electricity Safety
- Health & Safety Legislation
- Quality & Continuity Regulations 2002
- Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
- The NGED distribution business
- NGED Craft roles and activities undertaken A NRSWA qualification or understanding of NRSWA legislation is desirable however, full training can be provided. You must hold a full, valid UK/EU driving licence as you will be required to carry out site visits.
