Operations Manager - Oncology, Haematology & Rheumatology

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Operations Manager to provide operational leadership across Oncology, Haematology and Rheumatology, working across both George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust (GEH) and South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT). This is a genuinely cross-organisational role, with the postholder's time split between GEH and SWFT. You will be expected to have a visible presence across both organisations, working closely with clinical, nursing and operational colleagues to support the day-to-day delivery and continued development of these services.,

• This is a cross-organisational role and the postholder's working time will be split between George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust and South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust. The ability to travel independently between the two organisations and their associated sites is therefore an essential requirement of the role.
• Reporting to the General Manager and/or Directorate Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Oncology, Haematology and Rheumatology, ensuring services are safe, effective and responsive to the needs of our patients.
• The role requires someone who enjoys being close to operational delivery. You will provide visible leadership across your services and act as a key point of escalation where there are pressures or deviations against performance, quality or financial plans.
• You will work alongside clinical and nursing leaders and Service Managers to understand performance, identify pressures and ensure that appropriate actions and mitigations are in place.
• Alongside the day-to-day operational responsibilities, we want the successful candidate to have a real interest in service improvement and transformation.
• You will support and lead service redesign within your portfolio, working with multidisciplinary teams to implement changes that respond to national and local priorities and improve patient care.
• The successful candidate will also join the On Call Manager Rota for the George Eliot Hospital Site.
