Role Overview We are looking for an organised, proactive Office Operations Manager to take the lead in ensuring our Boroughbridge office, near York, runs smoothly, efficiently, and in line with our commitment to quality and sustainability. This is a key role at the heart of our business supporting our people, strengthening our processes, and helping drive our long-term growth. Key Responsibilities Operational Management Keep daily office operations running efficiently and professionallyImprove systems and workflows to enhance service deliveryManage facilities, maintenance, suppliers, and workplace safetyLead operational improvement projects and embed ESG principles Compliance & Audits Oversee Health & Safety, fire safety, and facilities inspectionsEnsure GDPR and data protection complianceSupport service-line audits and deliver office-level auditsProduce reports, track actions, and implement preventative solutions People & Office Support Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable office cultureAct as the escalation point for operational issuesPlan and deliver office events and wellbeing initiativesOversee holiday, absence, and capacity planningCoordinate onboarding and induction for new colleagues Training & Development Coordinate internal training programmesEnsure mandatory training is completed on time Finance & Budgeting Manage the office budget and approve expenditureMonitor supplier value and track expensesOversee invoicing and debt management Projects & Strategic Support Manage project timelines, budgets, and resourcesMonitor risks and share lessons learnedSupport initiatives linked to the firm's five-year vision What we're looking for Strong organisational and operational management skillsExperience managing office facilities and suppliersGood understanding of Health & Safety, GDPR, and complianceConfident managing audits and tracking actionsPeople-management experience with the ability to motivate a teamExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage budgets, invoicing, and financial processesSkilled in coordinating training, onboarding, and appraisalsStrong project management capabilityProactive, solutions-focused, and calm under pressureCommitment to sustainability and ESG principles Why Join GSC Grays?
