Join Practice Plus Group as an Operations Manager and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-focused healthcare across our Warwickshire and Coventry OOH service. Youll lead non-clinical teams, oversee service delivery, and ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced, supportive environment. This role also includes participation in an on-call rota, providing out-of-hours operational support to ensure continuity of care and rapid response to urgent service needs. Its a dynamic position that requires flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. - Assist the Service Delivery Manager in the daily management and coordination of Warwickshire and Coventry's Out of Hours Service
- Provide leadership and support to the in-hours and out-of-hours teams.
- Provide support in the service and step-up during times when other Managers are absence, such as annual leave and sickness.
- Support the recruitment, interviewing and on-boarding of new operations staff members.
- Manage and resolve operational issues promptly to maintain service quality and efficiency.
- Help ensure the service functions meet all relevant CQC standards.
- Actively monitor capacity and demand figures within the service and work with the Service Delivery Manager to ensure the staffing levels are correct to meet all KPIs, identifying areas for improvement if needed.
- Collaborate with other departments/areas to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Serve as bronze on-call for two weeks out of every four, ensuring effective response and management during these periods. Cover operational shifts as needed due to sickness or other service requirement (additional payment made for Bronze on-call).
- Working one session (3.5hrs) in the out of hours period every other week in one of the PCCs or attending a visiting shift. One shift in four will be conducted on a weekend. These shifts will be instead of, and not additional to, the normal working day hours.
Proven experience as an Operations Manager, Supervisor or Lead - experience managing operations staff. - Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and utilising excellent problem solving and decision making.
- Compassionate approach with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office package, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Have an understanding of the confidential nature of work.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills, using Outlook and Teams Desirable Skills
- Experience working within the healthcare sector is highly desirable, preferably within Primary Care; OOH, PCC, UTC or PCN environment.
- Understanding of the management of bank staff.
- Experience supporting recruitment and interviewing.
