Operations Controller

If you're analytical, commercially curious, and confident managing supplier performance in a fast-paced environment, this could be the role for you! A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE: Support the Supply Chain Support Manager on all projects, including data extraction and analysis, supplier quote obtainment, and commercial negotiations Manage supplier relationships against agreed service levels and financial commitments, ensuring performance standards are met Actively contact suppliers via phone and email to chase open orders, resolve discrepancies, and correct order issues in a timely manner Provide first-level support to Customer
Services teams, handling escalations relating to supplier performance and service issues Obtain commodity pricing from suppliers on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis; analyse trends and negotiate improvements where applicable Produce accurate and insightful reporting and analysis to support the Senior Management Team in decision-making Conduct regular market analysis to keep the team informed of changes in pricing, supplier activity, and market dynamics Support pricing activities for new and existing services to ensure maximum value is achieved at all times

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO: Previous experience within Waste & Recycling industry/Supply Chain industry would be desirable Previous Key Account Management/Account Service/Supplier Management experience would be beneficial Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written Strong numerical and analytical skills Ability to work in a pressurised and highly time sensitive environment Proven attention to detail skills and ability to prioritise workloads Computer literate with excellent PC Skills (Excel - Look ups, Formulars), Microsoft packages

Shift patterns: Monday-Friday.
