40 hours per week

Salary: £37,500

Main duties and accountabilities:

Actively contribute to the Training Team by role-modelling Mitie values, 'You Are Mitie' principles, and professional standards, while constructively challenging behaviours that do not align.

Oversee the completion of the Centre's Training Plan, including the delivery of ITCs, non-operational staff training, refreshers, and more. Ensuring sufficient resources are available for all programmes.

Deliver training packages to cohorts of new and experienced Care & Custody colleagues, both virtually and in person, embedding best practice, ensuring compliance with legislative and contractual requirements, and completing relevant assessments.

Facilitate Train the Trainer programmes for Operational Coaches, Buddies, and Mentors.

Support the development of team members by leading 'Upskilling' workshops for Operational Trainers.

Apply a range of training techniques tailored to diverse learning styles, neurodiversity, and individual needs.

Monitor delegate progress during training and provide constructive verbal and written feedback to support their development throughout foundational training.

Collaborate with the Training Support Team to maintain accurate records of individual training and assessments, including attendance tracking for recruitment, remuneration, and vetting purposes.

Conduct regular reviews of existing training materials and recommend updates to drive continuous improvement.

Assist the Training Manager in promoting training initiatives across the centre and Care & Custody, helping all staff reach their full potential.

Contribute to the design, development, review, and ongoing enhancement of bespoke Care & Custody learning packages, working closely with the Centre Training Manager, Regional Training Managers, and the wider Operational Training Team to ensure materials reflect current processes and policies.

Advocate for DCO apprenticeships in alignment with Mitie Group's apprenticeship strategy.

Take ownership of developing subject matter expertise in key areas such as Trauma-Informed Care, Safeguarding, Operational Processes, Information Technology, Mental Health First Aid, Social Values, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
