An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Imaging Directorate for an enthusiastic and efficient individual to join the team as a Junior Operational Service Manager within Imaging. This post offers an excellent opportunity for an individual wishing to gain exposure to a wide range of operational issues as well as staff management. At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations., The ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload in a fast paced and demanding working environment is essential. As a Junior Operational Services Manager, you will play a crucial role within the Directorate Team, to ensure the efficient operational management and delivery of performance targets. A flexible approach is essential, as is the need to be self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise set tasks and objectives., Essential
- Intermediate level qualification or equivalent experience e.g. HNC, Diploma
- Reasonable standard of GSCE A-C (4-9) or equivalent Desirable
- Diploma/Degree in Management or health related subject Skills Essential
- Awareness of NHS plan access Targets
- Diplomacy and ability to deal with difficult situations
- Leadership and team building skills
- Ability to work in a high pressured environment & work to deadlines
- Able to develop strong multi-disciplinary relationships
- Excellent communication skills, oral & written
- Able to positively influence to ensure effective and efficient delivery of service
- Awareness of Trust policies & procedures
- Computer literacy Desirable
- Ability to develop and deliver action plans in relation to the NHS Agenda Experience Essential
- Experience of working in an acute Trust
- Experience of waiting list management
- Experience of management of National Targets
- An understanding of operational management roles
- Experience of Excel, both in data management and data creation Desirable
