If you join us, you can play your part as an Operational Planner, supporting the planning and delivery of Maintenance, Repair and Operations activities across a range of military platforms and equipment., As an Operational Planner, you'll play a key role in ensuring maintenance workloads are planned, resourced and delivered effectively. Using enterprise planning systems and supporting tools, you'll help translate operational demand into robust, achievable plans while identifying risks, constraints and dependencies. You'll work closely with Operations and support functions to protect delivery performance, manage capacity and provide clear management information to support decision-making. Day-to-day, you will be:

  • Planning Maintenance, Repair and Operations workloads using ERP systems and associated planning tools.
  • Assessing capacity, skills, materials, facilities, tooling and work-centre productivity to create achievable plans.
  • Identifying risks, dependencies and constraints, and communicating impacts to key stakeholders.
  • Producing accurate management information on scenarios, status and performance.
  • Ensuring planning data, material assessments and job pack documentation are completed accurately and on time.
  • Building strong working relationships with Operations and support teams to enable successful delivery.

    Experience using an ERP system for scheduling or operational planning.
  • Experience working with and analysing large volumes of data.
  • Understanding of the planning cycle within a Maintenance, Repair and Operations environment.
  • Experience creating or working with performance metrics and management information.
  • Qualifications for the Operational Planner: Educated to Level 3 or equivalent (such as an advanced apprenticeship, NVQ, A-level, IB Diploma or equivalent workplace experience). Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.

    This is a full-time, fixed-term role for 10 months, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday., Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
