Full Job Description

The Adult Community Mental Health Rehabilitation service is seeking to recruit an Operational Lead to cover Maternity leave. This will be on a part time basis for 10 months. Fixed term and secondment opportunities will be considered.

The Community Mental Health Rehabilitation Service is a developing service that works with people and their families within their local communities, providing specialist assessment, treatment and support to stabilise people's symptoms and help them gain/regain their skills and confidence to live successfully in the community.

Evidence shows that an intensive community treatment approach achieves positive results in recovery for service users with complex severe and enduring mental illness.

The service has strong working relationships with other services both internally and externally, and is co-located with other mental health teams. We promote regular CPD opportunities both internally and externally., The post holder carries day to day responsibility for the operational management and delivery of services within the pathway

Working in partnership with service users, carers, the wider multi-disciplinary team and other partners and agencies to ensure effective outcomes

To provide leadership and support the Service Manager in ensuring high quality care is provided across the pathway

The post holder, with the support of the Service Manager, will hold delegated responsibility for the management of the pathway team budget.

The post holder will have responsibility for ensuring performance within designated trust standards including Key Performance Indicators and financial management targets.

With support from the service manager: the post holder will be responsible for the operational decisions required for the pathway team to work effectively and efficiently. This will include the allocation and deployment of resources and the development and deployment of operational processes within the pathway team.

The post holder will be responsible for organising the workload of the team within the pathway and ensuring appropriate resources are available to meet the demands of the service.

Provide advice in complex clinical situations, taking into account a range of options in order to resolve presenting issues.

Is an experienced CMHN/OT/Social Worker with significant demonstrable post qualification experience working at Band 6 or above in a mental health clinical field

Has an ability to challenge and positively influence change to clinical practice

Has experience of delivering assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for service users with complex severe and enduring mental illnesses
