Children and Family Health Devon are delighted to invite applications for two Band 7 Operational and Clinical Team Manager positions within our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) and Childrens Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) Early Intervention Pathway. We are currently seeking motivated, compassionate, and values-driven leaders for:

  • One full-time (37.5 hours per week) Band 7 Operational and Clinical Team Manager for the countywide CWP Team (base to be agreed with the successful applicant).
  • One part-time (30 hours per week) Band 7 Operational and Clinical Team Manager for the South Devon MHST.
  • This is an exciting leadership opportunity for experienced professionals who are passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people, and families. The successful candidates will play a key role in delivering high-quality early intervention mental health support, ensuring children and young people receive timely, effective, and compassionate care., As an Operational and Clinical Team Manager, you will provide operational and clinical leadership to multidisciplinary teams within the mild-to-moderate mental health pathway. You will support safe and effective service delivery, promote clinical excellence, and lead service development and continuous improvement. Working in line with the NHS Constitution and NHS values, you will demonstrate a commitment to compassion, inclusion, collaboration, and high-quality care. You will lead with integrity, inspire and develop others, and work in partnership with colleagues, schools, and wider services to improve outcomes for children and young people across Devon and Torbay. Providing operational and clinical leadership to MHST and CWP teams Line management, supervision, and professional support of practitioners and supervisors Overseeing referral screening, allocation, and clinical decision-making processes Managing team performance, caseloads, and service delivery targets Supporting staff wellbeing, development, and a positive team culture

    This role requires a compassionate and confident leader with excellent communication and organisational skills, alongside a strong understanding of children and young peoples mental health and early intervention approaches., We would like the people who work for Children and Family Health Devon to be understanding, patient and respectful.
