An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a term time only science technician (Biology) to work as part of our non-teaching team, supporting the delivery of the biology / science curriculum through assisting the department with preparation of experiments and equipment. This is an important role to us, and plays a key role in providing timely and effective support to all teachers within the science department. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the methodology and safety requirements associated with working in a scientific environment. Working alongside the senior science technician and one other science technician, this is an ideal opportunity for an organised, adaptable, cooperative and proactive person who is equally happy working within a team and independently. Previous experience of working in a school environment is desirable but not essential. Vyners is a very popular and oversubscribed mixed eight form entry, 11-18 comprehensive school situated in a pleasant residential area in North West London, bordering Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. We have a track record of real success at all Key Stages.
