Full Job Description

The Orchard School is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 8 pupil with additional needs. This is a temporary contract, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a young person's educational journey. The Orchard School is a mixed special school for pupils with emotional, social, mental health and associated learning difficulties. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic person to make a difference to the lives of children and young people. The Orchard School offers a unique teaching and learning environment, committed staff and pupils. 32.5 hours per week Term time only plus 5 CPD days, 8.30am - 3.30pm. Salary KSB - (FTE £25,126) Pro-rata £19,151 + SEN £1,484.97 Essential a GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics in Grade A

  • -C., You will work closely with the classroom teacher and the school's SEN team to provide tailored support to a specific Year 8 pupil, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Your role will involve both academic and emotional support, adapting learning materials and strategies to suit the pupil's individual needs.
