Full Job Description
Are you someone who enjoys helping others get started and confident using new systems while keeping things organised and running smoothly? As part of a newly created Operations and Logisitcs team within BlueJay (BlueJay Secure Collaboration platform), we have an opportunity for an Onboarder / Trainer to support users as they go live on the BlueJay platform. Acting as a key member of the Onboarding and Training team and deputy to the Onboarding and Training Manager, you will lead onboarding events, support first-time system access, and deliver engaging training experiences. You'll play an important role in shaping users' first impressions and ensuring they feel supported from day one. You'll work closely with colleagues across Service Desk, logistics and user account teams, taking a proactive and structured approach to delivery. This role is based in Farnborough, and to support effective collaboration with the team, you'll typically spend around two days a week onsite. We're also open to discussing a compressed working week where this suits both you and the role. There may also be occasional travel to UK and European sites, depending on business needs. What you'll be doing:
- Lead onboarding events, issuing equipment, account credentials and guiding users through first-time system access and configuration.
- Deliver face-to-face training sessions and demonstrations, supporting users as they begin using the BlueJay platform.
- Provide tailored support during and outside of onboarding events, including one-to-one assistance where required.
- Coordinate with Service Desk, User Account and Logistics teams to ensure smooth preparation and delivery of onboarding activities.
- Ensure compliance with Security Operating Procedures and Acceptable User Policy, and completion of all required documentation and feedback.
- Maintain and improve onboarding procedures, analyse user feedback and support ongoing service improvements. What you'll bring:
- Proven experience delivering onboarding or training in a technical or system-based environment.
- Strong understanding of user account setup, password management and Microsoft Outlook configuration.
- Ability to lead sessions independently and adapt delivery style to different audiences, environments and connection methods.
- Experience working with operational processes, documentation and data handling with a high level of accuracy.
- A structured, analytical approach to problem solving and troubleshooting within complex IT environments.
- Confidence working with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with support teams and stakeholders. It would be great if you had:
- Client or customer facing experience.
- Understanding of service delivery models and how they apply in operational environments.
- Experience creating reporting dashboards for stakeholders and management teams. Location: Farnborough with hybrid working and occasional travel to other sites as required. Security Clearance Level: Security Cleared (SC) Internal Recruiter: Paul If you're interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what we're looking for, please do apply, we'd love to hear from you! Although this role is advertised as full-time, we believe that flexibility at work can promote work/life balance, increase your motivation, reduce stress and improves performance and productivity. We support different ways of working and can offer a range of flexible working arrangements. So, if you're interested and need to work flexibly, we encourage you to apply and talk to us about what might be possible. Loved reading about this job and want to know more about the sector?
