OMU Filing Clerk

We now have an opportunity for a Part-Time Filing Clerk to join our Offender Management team at HMP Parc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring offender files are archived in accordance with NOMS policy and ensure that the Prisons obligations under the Data Protection Act are met. The will bring consistency and best practice to the department to ensure the function supports the daily operation at the Prison. You will have a can do attitude, along with an attention to detail. You will work collaboratively and openly whilst being a key member of the team and you will also be required to undertake duties as requested by the Senior Case Administrator. You will be an engaging, hardworking individual with a good sense of humour, who shares our ethics and values and is eager to support.,

• Maintain Archiving database with alongside current provider
• To ensure prisoner files are correctly archived and destruction dates clearly recorded.
• To retrieve files from archive as requested
• To correctly label, update database and dispatch files to the Archiving Contractor.
• Ensure all copies of Prisoner Complaints received from the Secretariat are filed in the offenders F2050.
  
  The ideal candidate for this role must be able to demonstrate the ability to work to tight deadlines, have a keen eye for detail, have the ability to prioritise workload. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as working proactively and using your own initiative. It is key that you are flexible and adaptable to deal with ever-changing scenarios.
