Full Job Description

  • Electro/Mechanical problem solving of wind turbines and associated plant, working in a team at heights up to 85m offshore with user manuals \ and or electronic devices to trace\ repair \ record issues
  • Accreditation under the wind turbine safety rules
  • Follow Siemens Gamesa Renewables Energy (SGRE), service provider, roster
  • Work to RWE Renewables Ltd annualised hours contract pattern
  • Train to SGRE Maintenance Technician level or higher, in order to lead service teams
  • Working safely individually or as a part of a team
  • Focus on high-quality maintenance activities, doing the right job, right, first time
  • Diligent safety leadership and promoter of the HSE culture on-site - ensure correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts and conditions in a timely manner
  • Communicate WTG defects with onsite supervisors/engineering team
  • Accurately record hours for work on IT devices provided
  • Attend mandatory training at off-site training locations periodically

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Offshore Embedded Wind Technician to join our Operations and Maintenance team at our Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm project based in Mostyn, Flintshire, UK., Demonstrate a flexible approach to work and be prepared to work alone or as part of a small multi-disciplined team
  • Demonstrate good communication skills and cross-functional working
  • Ability to maintain quality under peak workloads
  • Work to a high standard with minimal supervision
  • Own and work towards fulfilling an agreed personal development plan and demonstrate a willingness to learn
  • An experienced Mechanical \ Electrical Craftsperson \ Technician \ Engineer.
  • Knowledge of the wind industry would be an advantage but not necessary as training will be provided
  • Naturally flexible as we operate the wind farm 24 hours a day seven days a week which is tidally restricted
  • Knowledge and experience of safety rules systems in both WTSR and HV
  • Knowledge and experience of electronic maintenance management systems
