Office / Yard Manager

Are you highly organised, safety-focused and ready to take ownership of a busy construction yard?Bethell Construction is looking for a Office / Yard Manager to oversee the safe, efficient and professional running of our yard, supporting Bethell operations. This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same.
What you'll be doingAs Office / Yard Manager, you'll be responsible for:Keeping the yard safe, controlled and well-organised at all timesProviding coordination throughout the main office including administrationManaging deliveries, collections, vehicle access and stock movementCarrying out daily checks on plant and equipment, reporting defects or damageEnsuring compliance with company procedures and Health & Safety requirementsCarrying out toolbox talks and daily briefingsSupporting sites by recording and communicating available materials and plantLeading and motivating the yard team to meet high standards and pass auditsMaintaining plant and vehicles, ensuring they are clean, safe and ready to hirePromoting sustainability by encouraging re-use and recycling of materials

We'd love to hear from you if you have:Experience in a yard, plant, or stores-based role (construction background preferred)Knowledge of safe working practices and basic Health & Safety requirementsGood organisational, time management and communication skillsA proactive, team-oriented and safety-first approachA driving licence (essential)Telehandler /FLT qualifications or experience (advantageous, training can be provided)Basic plant maintenance, welding or telematics knowledge (desirable, training can be given)
