Introduction
The Business Administrator Apprentice will be a key member of Phillips Joinery, responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the business working alongside senior members of the team, to ensure we deliver the best possible service to those we engage with.

Phillips Joinery is a well-established, high-quality bespoke joinery business based in Derbyshire, working across two sites in Ashbourne and Derby. We specialise in the design, manufacture, supply & installation of premium joinery products, including traditional windows and doors, heritage restoration work, internal joinery, furniture, specialist counters, and fire doors.

What You'll Do
- Arranging deliveries and scheduling timings
- Inputting data for invoices and sending to clients
- Chasing overdue orders to achieve required delivery date
- Supporting the Purchasing Department to ensure stock items are available to safeguard continuity of supply
- Communicating with suppliers and supporting invoice queries
- Maintain supplier/client information
- Maintain equipment supplies to meet company requirements
- Assist with creating robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) across the business
- Adhering to all GDPR regulations
- Aid sales and marketing functions, from an administrative and stakeholder engagement capacity
- Ordering and managing compliance
- Cost Management and tracking of expenditure
- Manage emails and customer enquiries
- Create and update job records
- Prepare quotes and documents in readiness for the team to use
- Maintain continuity of supply for internally used items
- Maintain overdue orders reports and liaise with suppliers to expedite
- Adding new stock items to the stock management system
Training Outcome
Opportunity to progress into a full time position with the company, while studying an AI focused apprenticeship to begin improving processes and supporting the team to work more efficiently.
