Ocean Import Operator

Duties will include:

• Day to day ocean import operational duties.
• Arrange import deliveries
• Coordinate with hauliers and 3rd party suppliers
• Ensure timely cargo release and final delivery.
• Manage customs-related processes
• Action Customer Enquiries.
• Liaise with overseas agents and customers
• Provide shipment updates
• Ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
• Collect outstanding shipment monies prior to enabling releases/deliveries
• Ensuring compliance with financial procedures.
• Check purchase invoices
• Provide support with the customers/agents
• Maintaining strong communication
  
  Our client is a busy freight forwarding company based in Manchester, and they are looking for an experienced Ocean Import Clerk to join their team. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years experience working within a similar role.
