Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor

We are seeking to recruit a competent and enthusiastic Technical Instructor to join our friendly, well-established Occupational Therapy Service based at Blyth Community Hospital . This is ahands-on support role within occupational therapy. You would work closely with qualified OTs, see patients in different settings, help assess and solve everyday functional problems, provide and fit equipment, support rehabilitation activities, and help patients become safer and more independent. The role requires good communication, practical skills, teamwork, safe working practices and the ability to work independently while knowing when to seek advice. This role also involves weekend working and supporting other sites in community hospitals acute settings as required. Service hours are currently 08:30-16:30 Monday - Friday . There is an expectation of weekend working across other Northumbria Healthcare sites. Contractual hours are between 08:00-20:00 and this may be implemented in the future.,

• The post holder will work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
• To plan and provide delegated programs of therapeutic activities tailored to the client under the instruction of the Occupational Therapist.
