An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Royal Borough of Greenwich Specialist Community Occupational Therapy (OT) and Sensory Services Team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who wants to develop their skills and is looking for a new challenge in the workplace. This role requires the post-holder to undertake community visits, often working alone and may require physical exertion assisting with equipment provision and the moving & handling of clients. Level 3 NVQ in Health / Social Care related qualification or equivalent experience

• A good understanding of the role of Occupational Therapy in adult social care.
• The ability to undertake functional assessments / interventions to deliver Occupational Therapy services.
• Be knowledgeable of relevant legislation with an awareness of working with vulnerable adults in a social care setting.
• Awareness of the requirements of lone working, completing assessments in clients homes / care establishments, joint working with other Social Care / housing / health colleagues and safeguarding duties, including risk assessments.
