Occupational Therapists

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Therapies team, supporting a young person in Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver highly specialist occupational therapy as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping a young person with autism to develop greater independence, improve emotional regulation and maximise engagement in education and everyday life.,

• Deliver weekly 40-minute direct occupational therapy sessions
• Provide approximately 10 hours of indirect support across the academic year
• Set meaningful therapy goals using a sensory integration approach informed by metacognitive, interoception-informed, regulation literacy and client-centred practice
• Support the young person to develop sensory awareness, emotional regulation, self-care, independence and fine motor skills
• Coach and support school staff and other key adults to embed therapeutic strategies into daily routines
• Monitor progress and adapt programmes to ensure interventions remain effective
• Liaise with parents, education staff and other professionals

  HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience working with children and young people with autism and additional needs
• Knowledge of sensory integration principles and neuro-affirming practice
• Experience supporting emotional regulation, sensory processing and functional independence
• Excellent communication, report writing and multidisciplinary working skills.
• The ability to coach and empower families, education staff and other professionals
• Experience supporting young people within educational settings would be highly desirable.

  £70 per hour
• £40 per hour travel time
• 55p per mile mileage
• Flexible working arrangements agreed between the therapist, school, family and young person.
