Full Job Description
The Occupational Therapist will join Jamis Adult Mental Health Service, supporting members of the Jewish community experiencing mental illness, emotional distress, trauma, isolation, and other challenges that impact daily life and wellbeing. Working within a recovery-focused, strengths-based, and person-centred service, the postholder will help individuals identify meaningful goals, develop practical skills, improve independence, and engage in activities that support recovery and social inclusion. Through assessment, therapeutic interventions, group facilitation, and partnership working, the Occupational Therapist will empower individuals to overcome barriers, build resilience, and participate in meaningful occupations that enhance wellbeing and quality of life. This part-time role is based over three days per week and includes some early evening working to support service delivery., We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join Jamis Adult Mental Health Service. Using occupational therapy principles and evidence-based approaches, you will undertake assessments, develop personalised intervention plans, facilitate therapeutic groups, and provide one-to-one support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. You will support people to build confidence, develop daily living skills, strengthen social connections, and achieve meaningful personal goals. Working collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, families, and community organisations, you will help deliver high-quality, recovery-focused support that promotes independence, wellbeing, and inclusion. This is an excellent opportunity for an HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist who is passionate about mental health recovery and person-centred practice.
