Full Job Description
- As an Occupational Therapist working across a variety of clinical areas you will be committed to promoting recovery and well-being, whilst empowering service users to self-manage and maximise their independence using health coaching techniques and meaning activity centred around an individual's goals.
- Working autonomously at a level that is appropriate to clinical competencies and within scope of professional practice which combines a level of assessment, intervention and on-going referrals.
- To provide training sessions for staff, families and carers as well as external agencies as required.
- To work with members of the multidisciplinary team to provide proactive and reactive services.
- Contribute to the continuous evaluation of the service to ensure it is fit for purpose and increases choice through audit and research.
We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Integrated Community Neurology Team. The successful individual will be based in Gorleston and work around the Great Yarmouth & Waveney area. They will join an enthusiastic and supportive multi-disciplinary neurology team in providing high quality care and rehabilitation. We are looking for someone with experience in supporting people with progressive neurological conditions. We have a strong commitment to clinical supervision and Continuing Professional Development (CPD), offering a supportive and proactive environment with opportunities for supervision, training and peer support. We work closely with Stroke Early Supported discharge and primary care home colleagues.
