Full Job Description
- Conduct initial screening and assessment of all service users, providing intensive short-term treatment as needed.
- Manage a caseload of clients with complex Occupational Therapy needs, using evidence-based, client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
- Assess and prescribe appropriate equipment and aids to ensure patient safety and independence with advising staff, families, and carers as required.
- Monitor and evaluate treatment plans, collaborating with other teams within the Trust and third sector organisations when appropriate.
- Supervise and develop junior team members, including appraisal, caseload management, reviewing interventions, and delegating responsibilities.
- Role will include some cross covering of the female acute ward.
We are seeking a motivated, skilled Occupational Therapist to work on Sapphire Ward, a male acute mental health ward in Aylesbury. You will join a close, occupational and recovery focused service that works as integral and valued members of our multidisciplinary teams. To be successful you should be confident in your assessment and clinical reasoning skills, be able to manage your time effectively and be a proactive member of the multi-disciplinary team., The ability to travel independently between sites within the Trust is essential for this role. Please note if you are based outside of the UK you will need to hold HCPC registration in order to be considered for this role. - Excellent opportunities for career progression
